Ship's complement
This page is basically a list of the facilities available aboard the boat that should make it easier to plan your week if you have not been before.
Galley
- An oil fired Rayburn heats the hot water and radiators though out the boat, besides it's more obvious role as a cooker!
- All cooking equipment is provided, plates, cutlery, pots and pans etc if you wish to self-cater.
- There is both a fridge and a freezer for keeping food.
- Tea and coffee are provided.
- There is seating for the full group around a central table.
Cabins
- There are six twin berth cabins either side of a heated, central corridor.
- All the bunks are long enough for me, and I am 6ft 2in!
- All bedding is provided, including sheets, pillows and duvets.
Showers
- There are two combined shower/toilets rooms on the boat, one below deck for midnight pees and one on deck for last minute pre-dive emergencies.
Power
- The boat has an onboard silenced 7KVA generator providing 240v constantly.
- Sockets are provided throughout the boat for recharging phones/torches etc
Air fills
- The boat has an onboard compressor allowing bottles to be filled through out the day.
- Oxygen is also available allowing NITROX fills (air is inclusive, oxygen extra).
- Helium and Argon are available on request/advance warning: I do not keep these gases in stock.
Cylinders
The Halton has the following cylinders for use by divers not wanting to bring their own bottles:
- 3 x 12 litre dumpy cylinders
- 10 x 12 litre cylinders
- 3 x 15 litre cylinders
- Feel free to bring your own cylinders if you prefer: the Halton whips will fit most valves, whether DIN, A-clamp, 300bar etc.
Lead weights in 6lb (3kg) and 4lb (2kg) are also provided, but bring your own belt to mount them on.
